Some cute baby wombats to balance the extremely upsetting wombat video doing the rounds ☹️ Native wildlife is protected in Aus under Commonwealth and State / Territory laws - The only people who should be handling baby wombats are registered wildlife carers and vets, and they do such an incredible job, usually free of charge. These cuties are currently in care at Hills Wildlife sanctuary run by @Ben Dessen and they’ll be released when they are old enough to survive in the wild. They are in great hands and thriving ❤️ #australianwildlife #wombats #babywombats
You’re welcome 💕 I’ve been spending some time with @Ben Dessen and his wildlife menagerie at the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Jenny the wombat is currently in their care and will be released back into the wild in a few months #wombats #hiccups #wildlife
Casper 💕 has a rare genetic condition called leucism which causes his feathers to be white. This makes him vulnerable to predators as he can’t camouflage. Casper now lives a safe and happy life with @Ben Dessen at Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. @Dr Katrina
#stitch with @cateo_barmaleo these posts are adorable and cats are vulnerable when they eat 🥰 @Dr Katrina …. Just be careful not to train your cat to expect food every time their human eats as this can be a hard habit to break 🐈⬛ #eatingwithcats
My heart ❤️ These babies will be released back to the wild when they are old enough after being cared for at Hills Wildlife Sanctuary @Ben Dessen In the wild, wombats usually stay with their mum for about 2 years 🙂
Some happy wombat footage - and I’ll take any opportunity to give wildlife tips @Ben Dessen Thank you for the work you are doing at Hills Wildlife Sanctuary to help baby wombats like these one #babywombat #aussie
