#ad Chinese Beef Stew with @knorranz for Lunar New Year Our family secret to this dish for the rich and umami flavours are Knorr Chicken Powder and Knorr Liquid seasoning. It is perfect for stew, soup and even stir fry! You can get yours to recreate this dish from Woolworths. Ingredients: Blanch the beef: 1 kg of Beef Chuck Ginger, sliced 3 star anises Water, enough to cover the beef Spices: 4 star anises 4 dried chili 1 cinnamon stick 5 bay leaves Sauce: 3 tbsp of Chinese cooking wine 3 tbsp of light soy sauce 1 tbsp of dark soy sauce 2 tbsp of Chu Hou Paste 2 tsp of Knorr Chicken Powder 2 tbsp of Knorr Liquid Seasoning The Rest 2 tbsp of vegetable oil 1 brown onion, sliced 5 cloves of garlic, minced 2 inch of ginger, thinly sliced into strips 2 tbsp of brown sugar 1 carrot, cut into 2” pieces 2 potatoes, cut into 2” pieces Water, enough to cover the beef Steps: 1. Dice the beef into 1 inch cubes. 2. Add the beef to the dutch oven and fill it with cold water just enough to cover the beef along with ginger and star anises. 3. Bring the water to boil over high heat, turn to medium-heat and let it boil for 10 minutes. 4. Skim the foam by using a colander from the broth or until the water is clear. Set the beef aside. 5. Heat the oil in the pot for sautéing. Add the brown onion and cook until it starts to tender. 6. Then, add garlic, ginger and “Spices”. Cook until fragrant for 2 minutes. 7. Turn the heat to high, add the blanched beef followed by Chinese cooking wine, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Chu Hou Paste, brown sugar and Knorr Liquid Seasoning, Knorr Chicken Powder. 8. Stir until the beef is evenly coated with the sauce. 9. Next, add the water (just enough to cover the beef). Cover the pot with the lid and bring it to a boil. 10. Once it is boiling, turn the heat down and simmer for 2 hours. Stir the beef occasionally to prevent sticking or burning. 11. Add the potatoes and carrots. Funny enough, it wasn’t created in Australia but by an Australian outback themed restaurant in South Korea. Ingredients: Serves:2 Caramelized onion 1 Tbsp of extra-virgin olive oil 1 Tbsp of unsalted butter 1 large onion, thinly sliced The rest: 1 tbsp of olive oil 1 tbsp of gochujang or Korean chili paste 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced 10 shrimps 1/4 cup of heavy cream 2 packs of Ramyun seasonings 1/4 cup of parsley, finely chopped 2 packs of Shin Ramyun Toomba To garnish: Chives Parmesan cheese Chili oil Steps: 1. Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the olive oil and melt the butter in a pan. 2. Add the thinly sliced onions and cook over low heat for 30 minutes. Stir every minute until it is caramelized. Set aside. 3. Cook the Shin Ramyun Toomba noodle in hot boiling water for 3 minutes. Set 1 cup of noodle water on the side. 4. In the same pan, add 1 tbsp of olive oil, gochujang, garlic and shrimp. Cook until the shrimp is 90% cooked. 5. Then, add heavy creamy followed by caramelized onions and stir to combine. 6. Add the noodles along with chopped parsley and give it a final mix. 7. Serve it in a bowl, grate more parmesan cheese, garnish with chives and chili oil. Enjoy!
Enoki Beef Rolls Ingredients: 500g of thinly sliced beef Enoki mushrooms 1/2 brown onion 1 tbsp of neutral oil 2 eggs, beaten Sauce: 1/4 cup of water 4 tbsp of soy sauce 1 tbsp of sesame oil 2 tbsp of sugar A pinch of Pepper To garnish: Spring onions Sesame seeds Steps: 1. Wrap the enoki mushrooms with the thinly sliced beef tightly. Set aside. 2. For the sauce, combine organic water, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar and pepper. Set aside 3. Heat the oil over medium-high heat and sauté the onion until translucent for 3 minutes. 4. Place the sliced beef on top of the onion, pour the sauce and simmer for 3 minutes. 5. Remove the lid, pour the egg whisked to the pan and cook for another 3 minutes. 6. Serve with a bowl of rice, garnish with green onion, sesame seeds and enjoy! #beef #Recipe #DinnerIdeas
