I meant to post this on Tuesday but the week got away from. February 11th was one full year of having Albie. It’s the loveliest thing to watch how far Albie has come in the past year. He has learned so much! He’d never been on walk. Treats and chews made him nervous. He’d pee on his food plate after he scarfed everything down. He was scared of everything and extremely anxious. He got nervous when his brothers tried to play with him. To see that skinny, scared little guy who was so mistreated learn to trust and feel safe to now being the happiest healthiest boy who has such a massive enthusiasm for life! A huge thank you to his trainer Karen of @Maher & Hound Dog Training who helped us so much this past year with Albie’s reactivity and confidence. The little dog who couldn’t be around anything or anyone. Who resource guarded everything to now being so secure and confident and just able to relax now! To see him just out at the park taking it all in or running around all the trails passing dogs and people without feeling the need to shout at them…making friends and having new experiences…still so amazing to see! Also a big thank you to his separation anxiety trainer, the lovely @Alexandra Nelke who worked with us for months to get Albie to be able to settle and relax when I leave the house. I’m so proud of this little guy, how much he’s accomplished and how far he’s come in the past year! I love you smooshmellow!!!
