As this year comes to a close - I want to say I’ve learned a lot about people and life. You can only do your best and people will either see that or they won’t. Other’s perceptions of you are none of your business. There is so much more to life than what some people think. Standing up for what is safe and just is hard and isolating. Learn to recognize gaslighting for the sake of your mental health. I’m grateful for all of you who provide me with daily motivation to continue on this path. I’m also grateful for a fiance, daughter and family who provide daily perspective on what REALLY matters. (hint: it’s not what you think) I can only hope that one day not too far away I’ll look back and think everything was worth it.
