So here’s the breakdown👇🏼❤️🥹 🥚In the 10 follicles, they got 8 eggs, one egg didn’t hold up, so they had 7 to fertilize. 🐣Out of the 7 eggs, 4 fertilized. So we have 4 embryos! Crazy. 🌱Now we need to see how many of the 4 embryos mature to the “blastocyst” stage where the egg goes from one cell, to an embryo with hundreds of cells!🤞🏼This takes between 5-7 days 🧬After we see how many mature, they are frozen and sent to genetic testing. Then we’ll know how many, or if we have any at all, to transfer ❤️ So we’ll find out more in 5 days 🤷🏼‍♀️🙏❤️ #ivf #ivfgotthis #eggfreezing #eggretrieval #pregnancy #motherhood #ttc

I decided that I was going to stay positive throughout this experience, but I didn’t realize how much I would need to hang on to that ❤️ When I got my follicles checked 2.5 years ago, I had 33 follicles. This fall, I had 23. When I came in to start this process, I had 17. Now, this cycle, I have 14. And only 5 are in range and we’re hoping the few smaller ones catch up. Because I had higher numbers before, I didn’t think we’d be worrying about not getting enough eggs to work with, but this is why we wanted to do IVF. To have the chance to freeze what we have and also genetically check what could have been causing issues in my past pregnancies. So! We have a few more days to have these little eggs grow so please pray for better results than we hoped for! 🙏🥚❤️ #ivf #ivfjourney #pregnancy #ttc

Okay guys, we’re at a big crossroads where it could go either way. Here’s the update: I started with around 14 follicles this month. We were hoping most of them would mature and grow with the medication, but only about 5 were responding at first. A few days later 4 more started to grow. This was great news but here’s the issue. If the other follicles get too big, they pass their prime and won’t be useable. So we need the small ones to catch up and grow big enough BEFORE the more mature ones get too big. So they said we can do one or two more nights of injections to hopefully find that sweet spot! Once we do, I’ll take a “trigger shot” and have the retrieval 36 hours later! So prayers for them all to fall in the perfect range in the next day or two! 🙏❤️ #ivf #ivfjourney #ttc #pregnancy #motherhood
