Replying to @Migle So two reasons: first because I don’t believe either of my parents should ‘give me away’ or pass over responsibility, I wanted to be completely alone in that moment, making the decision to marry Caspar on my own, walking towards him independently. And secondly because my parents divorced when I was 8 years old and my mum was the primary caregiver / we lived with my mum so it didn’t feel right to have my dad be the one to ‘give me away’ as it were, but I also love my dad and didn’t want to choose my mum over him. Tied with the reasons above I chose to walk myself down the aisle and have my parents walk together just before me to symbolise their joint support of our marriage
Replying to @my name is sebastian 🩰our venue was mostly uneven grass so I didn’t even think about heels as I didn’t want to wear any shoes that would be difficult to walk in / would sink in the grass! Especially as I was walking down the aisle on my own I didn’t want any risk of tripping. And I wanted to be completely comfortable! Once I found the perfect ballet flats from Repetto my wedding dress designers embroidered the date and our initials in my handwriting on each shoe 🥹

I really wanted very natural fresh bridal makeup and she naileddd it. And for hair I wanted a simple half up half down to keep my hair out of my face (and because Caspar loves it away from my face) but obviously still had to have it down because I haven’t been growing out my hair all this time for nothing! I’m super picky when it comes to having my makeup done as I feel like it’s always too much, but this was perfect. I felt like ME
