You know, I’m one of the ones that never dreamt of marriage. Daughter of a couple married for 42 years and still couldn’t see a man worth attaching myself to. I really enjoy marching to the beat of my own drum and just never prioritized being someone’s wife. So when a love like this knocked me over the head in these Accra streets a couple years ago, believe me— I TOO- was too stunned to speak. From the moment I visited Ghana in 2021, I knew that I would leave Toronto to plant roots there somehow-SOME WAY. But in no way, did I think my husband would also find me. God is the biggest set up artist. No plan on this planet is better than His. The peace that I’ve been given through this relationship, omg yall. It’s what made me KNOW. I wish I could bottle it and give it to you. All im saying is don’t settle. It’s not everyone’s desire to be married and that’s 100% OKAY— but for those who do have the desire— cut the settling out RIGHT NOW. Life with your partner is supposed to feel like a deep breath. It’s supposed to give you rest and peace. It’s supposed to bring you closer to God, family and happiness. It’s supposed to bring out THE BEST in you. There are good men out there. (They may not be in your city Chile lmao) but they are there. MOVE AROUND GIRL— you are not a tree. God can and WILL give you so much, just be open to receiving it. Above all, keep Him at the center. By Him, I mean GOD. And do not get impatient and settle for anything less. TRUST GOD— and watch your life.
