I simply cannot believe the squirrels are THAT small!!! Help a blind girl out, is my boyfriend playing with me or is he for real?? 🐿️ #Funny #Blind #Squirrel
Nothing is stopping this dog from getting to the bathroom! 😂 He’s such a smart guide dog and continues to impress me every day. He really knows how to communicate his needs so well and I find his ability to navigate new or busy surroundings so incredible! #GuideDog #ServiceDog #shoppingmall
I am beyond devastated to hear about the deaths of three members of our disability community, Rory Sykes, Anthony Mitchell, and Justin Mitchell. As a blind woman who was able to safely evacuate during the LA wildfires thanks to the help of my partner and support of my family, I will use my voice and my platform to shine a light on their names and their stories. As a community we can not let their passing be in vein. As a society we must use this as a learning opportunity and make sure systems are put in place to ensure that disabled people and their access needs are being met during times of crisis, emergency, and natural disasters. If there is anything you can do to support members of the disability community who have been displaced due to the fires, please do so and if you are a member of the community, please comment suggestions of ways people can help. I grieve for the loss of three community members I will never meet and for their families. Rest in peace, your loss will not be forgotten. #LosAngeles #Wildfires #LAWildfires #RIP
This is hands down my favorite cane I’ve ever had!! The pink glitter was already fun enough but add a magenta rolling marshmallow tip to it? PERFECTION!! Proof that having a mobility aid doesn’t mean you have to give up personal style or self expression! #MobilityAid #Blind #BlindBarbie
I love experimenting with new products and new brands, like @FentyBeauty, even if doing my makeup looks a little bit different for me than it does for someone who can see. #Makeup #FentyBeauty #HowTo
The service dog denials are getting worse and worse. People lying about having an authentic service dog has become so pervasive that it actively harms those of us who have real ones.@Paul Castle #Accessability #GuideDog #Blind #Denial
I’ve decked out my guide dogs gear with 3 things I never want to forget when I leave the house with him - hand sanitizer in a pouch from @touchland on the size of his harness, my avocado poop bag holder from @Amazon (in my store front) and a green quilted @FreePeople treat pouch on his leash! #GuideDog #ServiceDogGear #DogsOfTikTok #FPMovement #FreePeople #Touchland
I am both grateful to be safe and heartbroken for all those who are not. It feels like there is so much to be said yet no words can be found. Praying for LA, for my disabled community, for all those displaced, for our first responders… We will heal, we will rebuild, but right now we grieve. #WildFires #LAWildFires #LosAngeles
I feel so lucky to have a boyfriend who is so caring, kind, and supportive to me as his blind partner! He goes above and beyond to help out when I need it, even in small ways like fixing my lipstick so I get that crisp red lip I love so much! Plus, it’s so cute when he doesn’t really know what he’s talking about but I can tell he’s really trying his best, like with my “cupids bone!” Haha #CoupleGoals #Boyfriend #RedLip #Makeup
I wanted to share just one small part of my experience living in LA during the wildfires. The lived experiences of disabled people during any natural disaster or emergency is different than that of a non-disabled person. We are at increased risk, more vulnerable, and often require greater resources that in many cases, may not be there. We are often forgotten about or not accounted for when evacuation plans are made and orders are set. Please think of our community during times like this, we need you. I am one of the lucky ones and I am grateful, but I grieve for those who aren’t. #NaturalDisaster #LAWildfires #Wildfires #LosAngeles
The challenge is real in a situation where there are winding stairs. Thankfully my guide dog is so helpful and we made it to the top - a little exhausted but grateful 😊#Blind #WindingStairs #Guidedog #Challenge
The iconic singer Elton John has recently opened up about his vision loss following an eye infection. While they are currently still optimistic it will return, I wanted to take this moment to encourage anyone who’s also dealing with vision loss and remind EVERYONE that blind and low vision people can and do live full, successful lives. Sending love and good vibes to Elton John on his journey, whatever that may look like! #EltonJohn #VisionLoss
This dog will manage to find stuffed animals anywhere he goes… even looking at them lovingly through a store window! Every guide dog has their flaws and Elton’s is his love of a stuffy and how stubborn he gets when he doesn’t get his way! 😂 Thankfuly he managed to finish the shopping trip and focus on getting Christmas gifts for others, not himself! 🎄🦮 #StoryTime #christmas #guidedog
Even though the dogs have to be right next to me for me to even have a chance of seeing the light up collars, I still think it’s so fun and would certainly help a lot of people be able to see their dogs better at night! So cute and fun! #DogsOfTikTok #DogAccessory #dogparking
Being blind is always an adventure!! You think you know what something looks like and then BOOM… two holiday seasons into wearing it and I just now find out it’s NOT a mint green sweater!! 😅#christmas #blind
Happy World Braille Day! I’m so grateful that my parents and teachers didn’t give up on me and pushed me to learn because it’s a skill I am so happy to have today and genuinely helps make my life easier and allows me to be more independent and live a more full life every day! #Braille #WorldBrailleDay #Grateful
Which one… or two… should I keep?? I’m so in love with these two piece sets! They are incredibly comfortable, soft, and feel way more expensive than they were. I love the color options, all the details, and how wearable they are for lounging in the house or running errands! #Fashion #Haul #OnlineShopping
