We tell ourselves we have high standards—but is that actually true? Or are we just prioritizing the wrong things? And what if we meet someone who’s perfect on paper, but there’s no spark? Can chemistry slowly grow, or is it something we either feel instantly . . . or never will? For today’s new video, I sat down with @Kristin Cavallari on her "Let’s Be Honest" podcast to talk about chemistry vs. compatibility, one of the biggest mistakes people make in dating, and what actually matters when you’re looking for a lasting relationship. You can watch the video now at the link in my bio or by going to MatthewHussey.com/blog.
So, I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately . . . We all experience different seasons in life. Highs and lows—times when everything seems to be falling into place, and times when it feels like nothing is working. But whether it’s a good season or a tough one, there’s one thing that determines how we experience it more than anything else: our emotions. In the hard seasons, difficult emotions can make life feel even heavier. In the good seasons, lingering fear, self-doubt, or anxiety can rob us of the joy we SHOULD be feeling. The truth is, it’s not just our circumstances that shape our experience. It’s our patterns. So many of us feel stuck in patterns we can’t escape. Emotional highs and lows. Self-sabotage. A critical inner voice that constantly robs us of our confidence and makes us question if real change is even possible. Here’s what I want you to know: Your patterns are not a sign that you’re broken. They’re simply an adaptation to what you’ve been through. But when you change those patterns, you create results you’ve never had before. Change those patterns, and you change your future—no matter where your life has been heading until now. That’s exactly what we’ll be working on at the Weekend Retreat. Over two powerful days, we’re going to: Give you the tools to handle your emotions—so they work for you, not against you, no matter what season you’re in. Help you understand your patterns and how to change them—so you don’t keep repeating the same cycles. Create a foundation for an entirely new relationship with yourself—so your inner voice becomes your greatest ally, not your biggest critic. Because when you shift your internal world, everything shifts. Your confidence, your opportunities, your relationships, your future. If this speaks to you and you’re ready for a new season, let’s make it happen together. Go to MHRetreat.com to secure your ticket. Early bird pricing is available until March 28 before ticket prices go up.
