I was the lowest of the low that day. I was on autopilot and barely functioning. I truly believe the universe sent this lovely man to me when I needed him the most, and I will NEVER forget this moment. I am so grateful to have experienced it. It's a wonderful reminder for us to generously share love and kindness because you never know the difference it could make in someone's life. That day was my oldest's 18th birthday, and the very next day I would be in family court fighting over my kids again. It was the beginning of the final round, and it would continue for more than two years, worse than it had ever been before.
