I love this autumn tradition soooooo much 🍎Easy toffee apple recipe: 4-6 apples Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 15 minutes 🍎Ingredients: * 6 apples * 1 cup granulated caster sugar * 1/2 cup golden syrup * Wooden sticks (for dipping) * Red food colouring 🍎Instructions: * Prepare the apples: Wash the apples and insert wooden sticks into the stems. * Make the toffee coating: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and golden syrup. Stir until the sugar dissolves. * Cook the toffee: Continue to cook, without stirring, until the toffee reaches the hard-ball stage (around 250°F or 120°C). This can be tested by dropping a small amount of toffee into a glass of ice water. If it forms a hard ball, it is ready. * Add food colouring : Once the toffee reaches the desired temperature, remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the red * Dip the apples: Carefully dip each apple into the toffee coating, turning to coat evenly. Allow any excess toffee to drip off. * Let them set: Place the toffee apples on a sheet of parchment paper or wax paper to set.
