#ad Shifted the @Southland Trailer Corp. gooseneck inside the shop with the JCB teleskid so I could install an Erickson winch on the front of the trailer to make it easy to pull ok old vehicles or tractors or whatever else needs to get pulled on 👍. Really nice that @southlandtrailers already had a place ready for winches and the holes already pre drilled, I was able to put the bolts in and tighten them all down with the @Einhell Canada impact gun. I will probably mount the battery on the cabinet but for now wanted to just hook it up and make sure it all worked #trailer #construction #build #maker

Ok this section of the workbench/tool wall is not done yet, there is still several things to do like putting a backing on so I can hang tool accessories and put in all the lighting and signage and put a finish on it but since I’m kind of shooting from the hip I needed to get it moved into place so I could stand back and look at it and see how it’s shaping up and if I need to make changes (there have already been a few changes as I’ve built it as things look different in real like than in my head sometimes) Also all these @Festool Canada tools will not all go on this one section like this. They will eventually be spread out more (similar to my last shop) and each have space in the section behind them for the most used accessories but I really needed to get tools up off the ground and little more organized while I keep working on getting more organized. This whole section under the mezzanine has been an absolute gong show with tools in boxes spread out all over the place making it hard to get things done and find the tools I need so at least this helps me be a little more organized and I got all the rest of the tools up on temporary tables so I can work a little more efficiently. #woodwork #workbench #tools

Festool tool bench number two getting moved into position. Still mostly figuring it out as I go, I knew that I wanted each tool to have a certain amount of elbow room and room for the most used accessories to be in the area of the tools they go with so I’m starting to spread them out and test where each tool should go and try anticipate spacing for accessories. Right now I think the second shelf will be mainly for the accessories of the tools on the bottom level and then the top will be reserved for the bigger tools that don’t have many accessories but I still will probably change my mind. I will also put a special perfo backing behind the shelves to hang and organize all the accessories on and still need to put a finish on the whole thing and I’m thinking some metal accents and some signage and the lighting I have planned. #construction #workshop #woodwork #festool @Festool Canada

Big thanks to @Squi.Jig for sending the custom rafter square and stair gauges! Love that they took the time to engrave my logo on them! Once you got your material square on the jointer and planer the next thing you need is good reliable marking tools and since I spent a lot of my life as a framer I still like using a framing square for a lot of my furniture builds 😁👍 #woodworking #maker #tools

Two days ago marked two months since the first AB Building crew started building my new shop and yesterday their final crew, Comfort Pro Insulators came to blow in the ceiling insulation now that all wiring and HVAC elements are done in the attic. These Comfort Pro guys were awesome, showed up, got right to work, were extremely efficient and cleaned up and left the place in a state that you wouldn’t even have known they were there. Now the shop is fully insulated and heated and ready for winter! #construction #work #workshop

#ad A few years ago when I made a list of the trailers I I would work to get there was three on the list. A gooseneck, a dump and a big cargo trailer. That first list is now complete and @scott_sailer was kind enough to bring this @Southland Trailer Corp. Royal Cargo trailer out to me and walk me through all the features. It’s also very cool that these trailers are manufactured in factories about 30 minutes from my shop! #trailer #work #construction

#ad A 16” @FreudTools blade on an 11hp @SCM North America slide saw is a magical thing! Also cool that both are made in Italy! I have these old 6x6’s that are way out of square and I already joined two sides and was heading to the planer to do a lot of passes to get them square and to the final dimension when I thought why don’t I just set them on the slide saw and slide off all the material in one shot? Worked awesome 👍 #woodworking #tools #maker

Got Jenex back on site with their grader and TopCon system placing gravel and grading around the shop. Now I have a nice 2% grade going away from the shop and then connecting perfectly with the driveway. Eventually I will pave it but I want to wait until all the buildings are built and the big semi trucks and heavy equipment are done driving in and out. #construction #heavyequipment #work

#ad I needed to drill a 1” hole in the concrete to run power to the water cistern and for a driveway gate so I grabbed the new @Diablo Tools amped rebar demon hammer drill bit with the vacuum sleeve to suck up and remove the dust and debris as it was being created. Had to borrow the plumbers big hammer drill because I don’t have one that big…yet #diablotoolsambassador #tools #concrete

#ad The @Bow Products system is awesome! The Xtender fence gives you a taller and longer fence that has supports on the in feed and out feed. You can use their feather boards on the fence and on the surface of the saw and their push stick to keep your fingers safe. Very well design system! #woodworking #tools #tablesaw
