Yesterday, while I was having dinner out with my mom and bf, a sweet girl came up to our table and told me how much she enjoys my content “nowadays” and how she loves this “new Summer”. Honestly, this touched me in the best way bc I haven’t felt this in touch with the TRUE me in a very long time, and the fact that she can see that is the best feeling everrrrr!! This interaction hits way harder for me bc I have felt lost and out of touch with myself for a very long time. For years I was trying to keep up with what I think people want from me— in every aspect of my life. SO exhausting. Somewhere along the way, I decided to drop that. SO glad I did. Moral of the story is that even when you feel like the world is grey and it seems impossible to imagine anything getting better, IT REALLY CAN get better and it DOES. Very very slowly, every single day. Every tiny decision you make can lead you to joy. I’m living proof!! I promise you can make it out of the trenches!!!! Everyone has their own timing (so be patient!!) and this joy may look different from person to person (try not to compare!!). But once you get there, it’ll be undeniable 💗
