I’ve been using it for the past month and have loaded the totes full of heavy stuff and they still work great! There are very few gifts that my wife loves more than custom matching holiday sweaters. Can I take a moment to shoutout @Cricut for making the process so simple! #cricutmade Yes this is an #ad but you all know that I use my Cricut on a weekly basis for so many cool projects, so when they wanted to partner to show how it can be used for holiday gift giving, I was 100% on board! If you have a handy person in your life, I highly recommend a Cricut as a go to gift for them!! They might even make you something fun with it… just saying. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Happy Holidays everyone!!

Stay around for the end to see it at night! My wife saw a 5ft candy cane at the store, so I told her let me try to build it bigger and better before we buy one… And about an hour later, a little paint, and some old Christmas lights, we had a 10 ft candy cane that she liked even more!! This was one of my top 3 most favorite projects I’ve ever built because even still a year later we still use this tractor train and it’s bringing us so much joy. My daughter saw this at the fair and wouldn’t stop talking about it, so I found some of the supplies secondhand on marketplaces, and the rest at my local hardware store and got to work. If I was going to build this again l’d definitely change a couple things, but it didn’t stop the kids from having the time of their lives and taking rides on it until dark! We gave some of the tractor trains away to friends and now have a fun short train to pull around our property. The one she saw was $600, and I built this for under $100 and she said she liked it even more… but I’m sure she just wanted to make me feel good. This was a super simple design, but has held up so well. I made this a few months and wanted to see if it would end up twisting or warping, but it hasn’t. I did add another screw to the top of the leg to add support after I realized it needed it. But all in all, not bad for 5 4x6 boards and a handful of screws! What do you think? By her reaction, I’d say this was a successful mission. My wife’s always talked about a front porch swing, but I never really thought it was possible with the pitch of our porch ceiling, but in all reality, it was just as simple as a flat ceiling. I built this swing for under $300 and used an old crib mattress for the cushion. Still waiting on the fitted waterproof crib sheets to come in, but my wife’s been swinging in this all day, so I think she likes it. #DIY #porchswing

Busted out our decorations from the past couple years, snagged a few bails of straw from the farm down the road, some pumpkins that we will carve up later, and my wife’s favorite porch decorations are done.
